fast-paced
This is my second favorite book of the whole series (right behind the first)!
In my opinion, this could have been paired with the first book and really been a duology. My interest in this series lagged in the middle three books, but I really liked that this one felt like a direct companion to the first. While I do think that you need to read the other books to fully get some of the reveals here, I liked that there were more of the original characters. I liked the scifi aspects. And I even liked the addition of Random.
I think my feelings for this series as a whole are very complex, but I did really enjoy my time with this one.
