TJR is back! I am such a big fan of her writing style and the way she brings characters to life. It really feels like you are reading an autobiography about Carrie.
I loved that Carrie was not a standard perfect girl, but a sassy, stubborn woman with a mind of her own. The story paints a good picture of a competitive woman who gives up everything to reach the top. It always felt like I was in the stands watching the match with her, full of excitement, and always hoping for a win for Carrie. I enjoyed immersing myself in her life. All the emotions felt real and I also got the feeling that Carrie was growing more and more. And Bowe was also mega cute and I definitely thought the build-up to their relationship was realistic.
But was I the only one hoping for a romance between Carrie & Chan?
