Weaveworld by Clive Barker

4.0

Weave world is science fiction meets fantasy meets pure horror and I loved the sheer amalgamation it entailed. A terrifying Narnia tome of a world within worlds with plenty of dastardly creatures and characters to learn ever more about. I love a long book that doesn’t FEEL like a long book and for the most part, Weaveworld doesn’t. Two thirds in it dwindles for me but resurges in a horrific climax of gore and abject terror. The themes struck throughout as well as character arcs and resonant notes were all infinitely interesting and re-readable.
