Okay I have mixed feelings about this one. It explores themes of alienation, absurdity of life, how meningless our life is, and raises questions about morality through the Arab man's murder. (Like, why does it matter whether he dealt regret after killing him or not, the man was dead anyway. And a murder was murder. If he felt some regret, would he be pardoned?) But... I didnt understand why main character didnt even once say that it was a mistake.

While I felt main character's isolation from the world and his alienated personality, somehow. Becaue he never really fit in the wolrd and that was relatable.

This book also highlights that we live a meaningless life and why does it matter why or how we die. We are going to die anyway so why bother trying to change course of events?

But as a Muslim I dont agree with it. Allah didn't create us without a purpose. Our purpose in our life was to serve Him. Though most of us have seem to forgotten it.

And I also felt a litttllle sad how the main character thought about little things that made him "happy" during his "freedom". Most of us, don't think about little things that give us joy or happiness until they are taken away.

Overall, it was an okay book. Not my fav but no bad either
