I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy
4.75
challenging dark emotional sad fast-paced

I liked this way more than most celebrity memoirs...McCurdy has a great writing style and the way she structured the book made it really easy to binge. I read it in two days which is unusual for me lately. The short chapters centered around small moments that made up her life, and the choice to write from her point of view in that moment rather than a more reflective tone made it really impactful. I feel so sorry for all that she endured. This is a good book and I recommend it but only if you're prepared to feel sad and check the trigger warnings.
