I was amazed by the quality of Du Maurier’s writing. For a book written in the early 1900s, Rebecca was a far better thriller than most modern mysteries I’ve read. With complex themes and truly surprising twists, I was captivated the whole way through. This will join Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, and Dracula as some of my very favorite classics that I’ll continue to recommend to all bibliophiles.
