Snowglobe
by Soyoung Park
[4]
Reminiscent of the Hunger Games and Snowpiercer, this translated work touched on subjects of class and the manipulation of celebrity figures for propaganda. We follow Chobahm as she is whisked away from her lower class life into a life of glitz and glamour, and in front of the cameras as she takes the place of her celebrity look-alike. Forced to pretend to be someone she has idolized her entire life, she discovers that the life in Snowglobe is everything but what's been fed to them. With secrets being uncovered not just about Snowglobe, but also about her life, Chobahm is determined to let these secrets spill while risking her life and the lives of her loved ones.
