i tried to look at this book through the lens of a middle schooler which is really the intended audience, but even looking at it with a younger perspective doesnt help with the story itself. i know this book is supposed to be a series but there were too many questions that were left unanswered. i hated the characters, didnt really understand where the story was going, and was sad that there wasnt really a supernatural element. 


just meh
