Get a Life, Chloe Brown
by Talia Hibbert
This book opened my eyes up to new things about people, whose stories are usually not mainstreamed.
Ironically, when I chose this book to be my next reading adventure, I didn't do it because right now it is popular to read POC authors* (rightly so, it is 2020 FYI) - I think that should be a given -, but the overall deciding factor for me was and is the story, the prose, the meaning and overall worthiness of a book. It should be superior, and frankly a deciding factor. And this work actually proved that it is possible to achieve all of the above with romance novels.
*(It is a shame that most publishing companies push forward white authors, and I want to praise Talia Hibbert and her work, simply because of it's sublimity.)
