Lab Girl by Hope Jahren

As a current student studying environmental science, I enjoyed reading about both Jahren's life experiences as a student as well as her work as a professor and researcher. Reading about someone's real-life experiences in the field was very helpful and confirmed that I don't want to work in a lab (which is something I once thought I would like to do).

Jahren is a great writer, which is an important skill that scientists sometimes tend to lack. She did a fantastic job explaining the science in her book to make it understandable and as uncomplicated as possible.
