It took about half the book to even get to the real plot and that first half was just constant comments about generational differences, and it was so tired and lazy.

Also felt like there were too many plot twists, like as soon as it got interesting, what you thought was happening, was suddenly not happening just a few pages later.

I didn’t feel the writer earned the murder. It wasn’t believable that Jamie would just go along with it the way he did. Everything we knew about this character did not point us in the direction of conspiracy to murder, which is why it was so much more interesting when we thought Kit and Melia were just framing him, not that he was in on it.
