I received this book in a Goodreads Giveaway, and I am so glad that I did! I loved it!! I loved that the woman was the bad-ass of the book and didn't need saving (other than the hilarious meet-cute moment they had). I wouldn't consider the book a rom-com, although there are definitely some comedic moments, especially with the daughter. Honestly, this book had it all! This was a perfect recipe for an amazing romance story. A little bit of comedy, a dab of frustration and angst, a dash of heartwarming moments that brought tears to my eyes, and of course, a heaping serving of spice and sexiness. Even though it is a romance, the spice and sexiness aren't the main focus of the plot, which was refreshing. The spicy scenes were a slow burn, and with the MCs situation, it added excitement and anticipation for the reader, which I absolutely devoured!! This is the 2nd book in this series. So I was also really happy to find that it can be read as a stand-alone. I am immediately going to go snag the first book, that's how much I loved this one by this author! Can't wait!!
