This short story contains HUGE spoilers for the first two books and really won't make sense if you read it BEFORE reading them.
Ox and Joe may be the alphas but Elizabeth is the backbone, the glue, that holds the Bennett pack together. We get to discover Thomas wasn't perfect and Elizabeth didn't agree with all his choices, to the point she regretted not challenging him more about some of them. We get to have our hearts broken again at the tragedies and laugh at the wonderful humour that comes from being friends-pack-family.
It broke me apart and took me to the edge of tears before putting me (and Elizabeth) back together with the hope of a future where there would always be packfamilylovemate.
