The Hypnotist's Love Story by Liane Moriarty
3.0

Release Date: July 14, 2012
Genre: Women's Fiction

Liane Moriarty is one of my favorite authors. She has a superb storytelling ability and a very unique voice in the business. Unfortunately, this book wasn't my favorite though. I felt like it was really long and drawn out and I desperately wanted something more to happen with the story. This is not to say that the story wasn't good because it was, but it is definitely my least favorite of all of her books that I have read to date.

The premise of the story is amazing; a hypnotherapist finds love unexpectedly only to be told that there is one little problem -he has a stalker-. And this stalker is much closer than anyone would anticipate as she is a client of the hypnotherapist... Sounds exciting AND unique, right? It is, but it didn't deliver like I expected it to. I wanted something big to happen or at least a bit more intense and thrilling like her other books (Big Little Lies, The Husbands Secret, etc.) but it just wasn't there. It was pretty mundane for the length.

Aside from that, I will certainly continue reading the authors books as I am a huge fan and have been pretty impressed by her books. If you are a fan of the author, I would recommend the book to you and the same goes for those who enjoy women's fiction novels.
