White Magic by Elissa Washuta

4.0

While overall it was indeed magic—personal and thoughtful—if I am to be honest, its structureless feel had me waiting for the end at some point. But all her research and how willing she is to bare so much is compelling. Plus, so many of the pop-culture offshoots connected to me intensely. It felt like nerding out with my nerd pal, albeit for months, because I just couldn’t read it straight through.
