The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
4.0
Sometimes it bothers me when they jump from attack to attack and there’s no connection, I felt that this was better; there was more of a sequence here. Also I understand that all the characters are constantly nervous, but it bothers me when they all sound the same spending a paragraph or two talking about how they’re so unprepared and distraught. I like the moments where we see their confidence shine through a bit more though and without those moments of doubt I suppose those moments when they're more sure of themselves wouldn’t be as strong.
Also I think the book ended well, the last lines were adorable and worked at pulling on my heartstrings a bit.
So definitely pleased with that book. Probably mostly excited about Nico and wishing there was some Nico POV chapters. But maybe next book.
