Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry

3.0

It’s more of a 3.5 stars. I think listening to it after Matthew Perry has passed made the book a little more heavy. I appreciate that he didn’t hold back or sugar coat anything (even if it was hard to read), because it brings to light the disease of addiction. Hearing everything he went through and then coming out of it at the end was powerful. I will say I was ready to be finished with the book when I was 75% done. Overall, good memoir but probably won’t read again.
