Small Acts of Kindness: The new poignant and uplifting novel from Sunday Times bestseller, Caroline Day by Caroline Day

funny hopeful inspiring medium-paced

I think this is the first book I’ve read that’s set in 2019/20 and actually addresses Covid. Lots of other novels have skirted around the subject or have been written in a non-specific year. When they announced the wedding would be in March 2020 I was expecting them to brush over lockdown or just pretend it didn’t happen but I liked the way the author addressed the pandemic and used it in the story. So many people like Mrs M died in care homes. it doesn’t feel right that literature pretends it didn’t happen
