Iron flame is like the Taylor Swift of books. Every passage has double meaning and likely triple meaning that I find myself decoding now that I’ve finished the book. I have reread the last few chapter 3 times within finishing the book in less than 12 hours ago. I have never found myself so enthralled by a book like this.

For those coming from fourth wing, this book is even better than the first. I had been worried that book 2 wouldn’t be as good, since often in world building series the second book is lacking but this book is so well written and thought out. I feel like Yarros was definitely plotting the shit out of this entire series years before she even started writing. This series has made me so excited for reading that I preordered the next book, which I never do as I am a kobo user. This series is worth having on your shelf to read and re read.

The character development and plot twists are so good I basically have whiplash. I’m left not knowing who to love hate, trust, distrust, and truly I want to reread the first book again to see all the clues I missed for these plot twists.
