I absolutely loved this story!!!! It was sooo well done! This works as a conclusion for the series, at least the story arc that we are in. I really hope that it's not the end of this world and these characters! I would love to see more set up within this world, including Meredith's brothers and all the kids. This is the 6th book in the series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I recommend having read the other books first. It would make a difference as things carry on from previous books and there are connections that would be missed if you haven't read them. Meredith is first introduced early on and she has a part in every book. I couldn't wait to see what happened and how things worked out for her. Daric has been a "bad guy" for almost the whole series, until the last book when we find out that his mother has been held captive for 18 years. I loved getting to know both characters better and watching them interact. They come up with some great comebacks throughout the book. The sex is explicit and fits the characters and the story. There is a lot of sexual tension in the book as well because of the situation that both characters are in. They don't give in to their feelings easily. There is plenty of action and things going on in this story to keep you engaged and entertained the whole time! Once I started reading, I didn't want to put the book down. I wanted to find out what was going to happen next and how things were going to work out. I loved getting to see all the other characters that I've come to know during this series and I love how interconnected the books are. I can't wait for Alicia Montgomery to write another one and I'm very excited to see where she takes us next.
