“There is no confusion like the confusion of the simple mind”
Jay Gatsby is an ominous man, rich, popular but unhappy.
This book explores the consequences of holding on to an idealized past for too long and critiques the superficial culture of the 1920.
The story is a tragic one, since there is no mercy and no regret in the world of single mindedness and artificial love.
Definitely a must read, I assume that it will stay with me for some time.
