T. Kingfisher makes you really care about Oliver and his armadillo. This is a cute novella about a great quest for a young boy. Oliver encouters scarry creatures, bandits, a murderer and a friend on hos travels to find rain. His story is about trying, luck and friendship. I enjoyed how magic was used here.
I really enjoy T. Kingfishers world building. She puts so much into her sentences and so many things are not explained in detail but explained enough.
If you are looking for a cute pallette cleanser with high stakes, I recommend!
