The Myth of Normal: Trauma, Illness, and Healing in a Toxic Culture by Gabor Maté

4.0

A very enlightening and depressing read. I’ve never had so much existential dread while reading a book. It touched on how the structure of our society makes it hard for us to be hormonally balanced, healthy, and happy. It certainly explained a lot and it did give me some guidance for how I want to live my life and how I want to raise children. It was not a fun, light, read, but I would recommend it to everyone. Very important stuff.
