Over the past year, I attempted to dive into this book at least three times before finally committing to a #buddyread organized by @bakers.bookends. I may have been slow to finish, but it was absolutely worth it.
Despite not being an avid science fiction fan, this story captivated me from the start. The world-building was truly exceptional. Darrow emerged as a character you can't help but cheer for. As his world crumbles around him, he takes bold steps to achieve his ambition of dismantling the oppressive ruling class. The narrative is filled with unexpected twists and turns, making it incredibly difficult to put down. The writing kept me guessing about who Darrow could trust, adding to the suspense. The ending left me eager to continue the journey with the next book.
I highly recommend this read to anyone who enjoys science fiction. It's an experience you won’t want to miss!
