Hello Quarterback by Kelsie Hoss

5.0

“The way Ford had treated me tore at my chest, at the fragile petals of love blooming between us. I knew he was going through a tragedy, but I also knew my worth. How someone treated you at their lowest said more than how they treated you at their best. And even if it hurt like hell to hold a boundary with my heart, I also knew I deserved better.”

Mia Baird is the BOSS we all long to be. She’s bold, brilliant, beautiful; the epitome of BBW—a big, bountiful woman. She knows her worth and isn’t afraid to let you know it. Ford Madigan is a force to be reckoned with. He’s focused, philanthropic, family centered, a real catch. But he’s also afraid of missing out on his goal by being distracted by love. So he avoids it. When his team’s owner approaches him to date his daughter, an attractive model whose personality is repugnant, or not have his contract renewed, Ford’s only recourse to say no is that he is already in a relationship.

If you’ve read even just a few romances, you know what happens next. But it sure is fun to watch Mia and Ford dance around each other, friends first before the lines between fake and real start to blur. The third act break up left me in a puddle of tears. Let me assure you, though, there is a sweet HEA for our couple.

Kelsie Hoss is always a fun read. Her stories are well written, with believable plots and multi-dimensional characters. Their dialog and chemistry are natural. The spice is on fire! All around this was a great read and I highly recommend it.

Movie rating is R, cover design 5/5 for discreet and 4/5 for the model cover, 5/5 overall, 5/5 romance, 1/5 violence, and 3/5 flames for spice. I was given an ARC in exchange and I can honestly say, again, I strongly recommend.
