I don’t know what I just read in the kindest way possible. I don’t know if the reader was ever supposed to pick up on the ‘clues’ that the author, A.K. Benedict, supposedly left in the book.
For Part One, this book was really good..
Then, you got to Part Two & it was like
“What the hell is happening?! This has nothing to do with the original storyline”
“What the hell is happening?! This has nothing to do with the original storyline”
Minus the minute link via the fae & fairies.. but the genre changed completely?
Then, Part Three made more sense when read directly after Part Two (unlike Part One) but where was the ending going?
I’m so very confused & I don’t know how to process this book.

To the people that said this was really heavily gore & disgusting, I do not agree with that. Yes, there was some description on page of gore & murder but I do not personally think it was heavy.
[Edit: it’s been about a week since I read this, I’ve read another book and reviewed it and it’s left me thinking I was wayyy too generous to this book. I’m dropping it to a 2 star.. and that still might be too generous. This book left me genuinely f***ed up for a good few days]
