This book totally surprised me! It's been on my shelf for years, and now I'm so sad I didn't read it earlier! I think I got burnt out on post-apocalyptic YA and then never saw any reviews for this one so got discouraged...but this is so underhyped! The premise is fascinating and dauntingly realistic in this 2020 world. The setup creates original dynamics for a love triangle, square?, somewhat like The Host but done even better, and the characters and world were built very well with a lot of layers of complexity. This was everything I wanted in a YA dystopian novel. Now I have to read Enders and anything else by this author. Read it!
