Ooooof. This book ended on the best/ worst possible cliffhanger- dammit! I was super hyped to read this as it combined most of my fav grishaverse characters into the story. So, I have to say I found the shadow and bone trilogy a bit of a rehashed ya trope but I did enjoy the characters, six of crows is awesome and I love it but THIS outdid it. The story was split into three parts, Nina in Fjerda basically becoming a spy with Hanne(pls make Hannina a thing Leigh) whilst working through her grief about Matthias. Zoyas struggles with accepting her past and working through her feelings about Nikolai. And of course, Nikolai fighting with his inner demons- literally and figuratively- also lots of plot shenanigans and oh god why did the ending have to be SO. DARN. SUSPENSEFUL!!!!!!!! Why is the Darkling back!? I am literally dying to find out. Please Leigh why do you do this to us...
