Buddy read with my goodest friend Kelsey 💕
Everyone I know, regardless of preferred genre, has been reading and gushing about this novel. So I thought "hmm, why not? it seems cute enough.", which lead me to purchasing the ebook which then lead to me buying a physical copy (not a single drop of chill).
However, never did I think this story would give me all of the feels!
While I knew this was going to be a cozy novel literally following an orc selling coffee to creatures who have no idea what coffee even is, I did not think that I would become so invested in everything happening.
Viv, first of all, is just magnificent. She is strong, and caring, and also scared of losing what was so different for her to create. Along in her journey, she meets so many amazing creatures that help and work with her to make sure her dreams come true, and I love each and every one of them!
From Cal to Tandri to Thimble (💕 ) to even her friends for her prior life, I adored and wanted nothing but beautiful things to for them.
This story is a hug and heart wrenching towards the end but then goes back to giant hug, it is warm and sweet and comforting in so many ways, and I am so glad it exists.
I know the author has a second book in the works, so I am (not)patiently waiting for it to be in my hands and if ARCs for it will be a thing, I will be swiftly refreshing netgalley and sending an e-mail to Tor.
I recommend this book to literally any and every one! Especially during the colder months.
