Hollis by Ashley James

4.0

4.5 STARS;

Hollis and Ford completely stole my heart.

We already knew Hollis as the flirty, carefree playboy from Finn, but this book gives him depth, growth, and the kind of swoony, magnetic romance that stops you in your tracks. When he meets a mysterious older man on a dating app, things start off hot and only get hotter. That man? Wolf Creek’s fire captain, Ford. Divorced. Brooding. Quietly intense. Total daddy energy.

Their chemistry is off-the-charts, both online and in person, but what really made this book shine was the emotional undercurrent. Hollis, who’s always avoided attachment, finally confronts the fear that no one ever stays. And Ford, fresh from a long relationship that slowly broke him, makes the brave choice to start over, and finds Hollis waiting.

With humor, vulnerability, flirty banter, spicy tension, and just the right amount of blush-worthy “Daddy” moments, this book was everything. Their dynamic felt real and raw, and watching them fall in love felt like a reward.
