i loved the TV show so i picked up the book just to feel festive and immerse myself in some cute romance. i didn’t have high expectations so i’m not that disappointed, it was as corny as i imagined it to be. dash is extremely pretentious and pessimistic. the way he thinks and speaks about things is insufferable. actually, everyone in this book speaks so annoyingly and lily acts like a child. the only way i got through reading this book was imagining the TV show.

even though i disliked it i still want to own the book just because i love the show so much. thank u to this book for allowing a cute tv show to be made, its genuinely my roman empire :>
