Tyrant by T.M. Frazier, the second book in the series, picks up right where the cliffhanger from the first book left off. While I enjoyed it overall, I found this installment to feel a bit more disjointed at times, perhaps because some parts seemed glossed over.

That being said, it still delivered all the same emotions I loved from the first book—spicy, sexy, sad, mysterious—and there were plenty of secrets revealed and even a few plot twists that might catch readers off guard. Despite its flaws, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and I’m excited to dive into the next book. From the blurb, it looks like the next story focuses on Bear, which I’m really looking forward to. Maybe this is the end of the road for King and Doe, but I have a feeling we’ll still hear from them as the series continues—at least, I hope so.

By the way, the epilogue certainly surprised me and I laughed out loud…… 

It’s worth noting that there are definitely some red flags in the story, so if that’s something that concerns you, it’s probably best to tread carefully. For me, though, this dark and gritty world has been too captivating to let go, and I can’t wait to see where the journey goes from here.
