this book was really good but didn’t really live up to what i was looking for :/
i went in thinking it would kind of be like a gay bbc merlin re-telling, which it is not. 10/10 for character diversity, arthur is brown skinned and his mum was muslim, and gwen’s love interest is asian. we didn’t really get a coming out story which was disappointing BUT we did get gay siblings coming to terms w who they are. and a female knight which we love. the author really represented mental illness so well, talking about gwen’s anxiety and arthur’s depression - some of the passages i could relate to so much, those parts were so well-written - as was the rest of the book.
