This book is crazy good. The way time is used as a narrarive tool is masterful and the titular villain is just amazing. The characters, oh I love them so much. It's really weird, in good ways and bad: some chapters felt like Stephen King was on acid while writing them in the best way possible, but it was very 'she breasted boobily' at times. There are few scenes that are quite heavy and disturbing though. Mike's racial torment made me understand more why slurs can be so triggering. Also the sewer scene was so unnecessary and strange but at least it was only like four pages.
Graphic: Bullying, Child abuse, Child death, Cursing, Death, Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Fatphobia, Hate crime, Misogyny, Pedophilia, Physical abuse, Racial slurs, Racism, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Antisemitism, Medical trauma, and Murder
Minor: Alcoholism, Animal cruelty, Animal death, Slavery, and Grief
A lot of the heavy stuff can really escalate quickly in some chapters.
