Sanderson hit another one out of the park. This one does focus more on Navani though we don't see her backstory. We also focus a lot on Kaladin and his depression.
There is even a whole mental health plotline. We sadly only see it for a little bit before the Tower starts to get corrupted and Kaladin goes in a spiral, but I really enjoyed that
I love how Sanderson shows Shallan's DID here too. And Jasnah
is committed to be ace here. It was obvious she was ace in previous books, but I wanted to see if Sanderson would more commit to it besides saying "Oh Jasnah doesn't want to get married". She basically said she didn't have sexual attraction though she has other types of attraction. I'm ace and I'm glad to have the badass Jasnah on my team.
