proserpina 's review for:
Manga Classics: Jane Eyre
by Crystal S. Chan, Charlotte Brontë
me, as an 8 year old who was Definitely Way Too Young to be reading this:
so jane eeyore is about this old woman called jane who becomes the private tutor of this other young girl and then falls in love with that girl's creepy uncle (?) and they decided to get married but then some lawyer dude says they can't because the uncle forgot that he was married to his arsonist upstairs neighbour who keeps trying to murder them. so jane runs away and nearly gets married to her cousin (ew) but then the ghost of the uncle haunts her and she goes back to marry the uncle. i think the cousin migrated to india, which honestly sounds super fun (except for the cousin marrying thing) so i don't know why jane didn't go.
me, as an 18 year old rereading it for the first time: oh
