 The book was really creative and inventive with the worldbuilding and I particularly enjoyed the way in which the author was able to explain abstract concepts of their own making in a coherent and interesting way. Some say the romance feels late in the book but I think it makes sense with the plot. I did find I was not always emotionally invested in the characters and at times I felt there were opportunities for more interest or drama that were not explored.
