Monster by Michael Grant

OH. MY. GOD.
I've been a fan of Gone since I was eleven years old, so nearly nine years, and it has been my favourite series since I first read it. No other series has ever compared to my love for this one and I was sad that it ended, so you can imagine my pure excitement and overwhelming happiness when Monster was announced. I will admit that despite my excitement, I was nervous about it. I was worried it was going to be an unnecessary addition to an already perfect series. But let me tell you, my concerns were unwarranted and this book is everything I could have wanted from a Gone continuation.
This book is set four years after the Light, the sixth book in the series, and follows a new set if characters as they fight against the return of the Gaiaphage, but we were also blessed with the presence of Dekka.
At first I wasn't a huge fan of Shade or even Cruz, but they grew on me and became the classic badasses I've always adored and associated with this killer series.
I could go on about this book forever, but I'll keep it short and sweet and end with a simple: IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THIS YET, DO IT. IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE OTHER BOOKS, DO IT. JUST READ EVERY BOOK IN THE DAMN SERIES AND STOP DEPRIVING YOURSELF.
