The classic story of two star crossed loves that is so obvious that you can't take it, AND THEN it doesn't happen the way you thought in any way at all. The lead character is frustratingly real. She misreads situations, makes bad decisions under pressure, selfishly pushes her wants onto others, and yet she is still surprisingly charming. Feels almost like a family member, probably because we all know someone like her. Although I wouldn't categorize this as a "happy read", it still has its moments and has what I feel to be a rewarding conclusion to the story, maybe even more so for the reader than the protagonists. If you are interested in a story that deals with all the inner workings of love and friendship then I think its a must-read.
