It was sweet. A diligent, oblivious scholar who just doesn’t get the increasingly unsubtle hints and signals being sent his way. 

There’s always a little feeling of wondering if I’ve missed some subtext in the R. Cooper books I’ve read. 

And yeah, the cover is…well, it got my attention and got me to read the book?
