Is this book a literary masterpiece? No
Was the writing the best? No

But I loved this book. I was in a reading slump and could not read a book and have an enjoyable experience. I was reading shifter romances/fantasy books, and this was a great palate cleanser. I loved all the characters and how diverse the Bal made them. Aiden stole my heart from the beginning; I loved that man. The banter between him and Summer was so cute, and I loved how quickly he fell for her. There are few books where the man is head over heels for the girl first and falls harder. He learned how to make Chai for her; he kept her hairband on his wrist, went to three different libraries on campus after losing his game, and was perfect. I loved how there was no third-act breakup. The writing felt Wattpad sometimes, but the brown girls deserve a cheesy romcom, too.  I enjoyed this book more than the icebreaker. Summer was annoying but not as annoying as the FMC from Ice Breaker. I did not like how Summer was aware of her attachment issues but took so long to overcome them. I also enjoyed how the size difference was not evident every second. I hate when they always talk about how small the girl is and how much bigger the guy is in every spicy scene or intimate moment.
