A sweet LGBTQ+ romance set in Arthurian times that turns the enemies-to-lovers trope upside down.
What I liked:
+ Enemies-to-not-lovers
+ Gay medieval England!
+ Loveable and diverse characters
+ Sweet pining and romance
+ Great dialogue and writing
What could have been better:
- The hostility between Gwen and Arthur felt overdone at first
- One couple fell a bit short compared to the other, I would have loved to see more tender moments between Gabriel and Arthur
- The beginning felt too slow, the ending too sudden
- There was a tonal shift towards the end, where the so far sweet and cozy story became more brutal than expected
