No Heroes: Kill & Be Killed
by Jamie Hall
No heroes :) .
.
.
I had the privilege of getting the copy from the author himself. The story is direct and clear. Michael, a 26 year old guy had a wonderful father (Martial) who was hero in a uniform. A cop. When Martial dies, he leaves behind a note to Michael talking about his secret mission of hunting down criminals. And then Michael is diagnosed with cancer and decides to die being a legend. The story talks about his difficulties in dealing with the disease and bringing down criminals before he dies. The book is of 27 chapters and the initial ones gets dragged a bit but picks up pace later. It’s a decent read but I do feel that it could have had a few more turns and twists. Few parts made me wonder if that’d actually happen in real life. I’d rate it 3.2/5.

P.S. My first official review ;)
