“For the first time since childhood, Stellan Gios was afraid.”

Well, this was intense. If you are looking for a story extremely epic, with high stakes, lots of action, humor, romance, adventure, and even terror in the Star Wars universe, The High Republic is the answer. Some of these characters, like Stellan Gios and Elzar Mann, have already carved a place among my favorites. Cavan Scott has masterfully crafted a continuation to the exceptional Light of the Jedi, infusing it with his style of writing (which I didn’t always loved). While the pace of the first half of the book may be considered a bit slow, it serves to establish a solid foundation for the escalating action that unfolds in subsequent chapters.

Overall, the High Republic stands as one of the best additions to the Star Wars saga, and I can't wait to continue to explore this fascinating era.
