Jami Albright kept surprising me with this book. Jack and Luanne end up on a road trip together, both for their own reasons. I wasn't expecting Jack's reasons for taking the journey and really wouldn't have anticipated the hilarious situations they find themselves in along the way.
Jack and Luanne have been enemies since they first met but their attraction and chemistry has been there too. Their relationship is such a rollercoaster, it yoyo's from banter that can be quite barbed to tender and heartfelt moments. Both of them put on a facade to protect themselves but it's wonderful to watch them lower their guard and realise that love and trust can make you stronger.
I love Jack's family and their unconditional love and understanding of both Jack and Luanne.
