I’m in awe of how beautifully this story was written from the point of view of Jesus’s fictional wife. I don’t normally like books that depict Jesus as anything less than God but the author captured the essence of Jesus so wonderfully as a human, it’s hard not to love this book.
Reading this book was like reading poetry - each word, character, and story seemed to have meaning. I loved how the author tried to keep the story historically accurate while also adding in her own creative thoughts of how Jesus may have lived if he were married. And although Jesus, who is such an important historical figure, is depicted in this book, the story is not about him. It’s about his wife and I really enjoyed reading this book from her female perspective. It was riveting, emotional, encouraging, and powerful. 5 stars!
