Synopsis:
Valentino and Isabelle are faced with dangerous challenges in the second book of this series. A person from the past reappears and wreaks havoc on their family and public relations. New security detail, Noah, is added to protect Isabelle. Felipe is hunting and trying to access her and Valentino. Will Felipe be found? What secrets does Noah hold? A few unpredictable stories unfold throughout this part of the trilogy.
My Thoughts:
I actually enjoyed this story better than the first. This one was more action-packed. There are more scenes, including the mafia and dangerous situations and events. Although still some graphic intimate situations, the story was focused more on the secrets being told and revealed, adding more depth to the story and the need to "want to know what happens next." The story ends on a cliffhanger, making it hard not to purchase the last book. Part III is called The Veiling.
