I wanted to read this for so long and I'm so glad I finally did. This book is everything. At times I felt quite overwhelmed reading Ben's anxiety which was so familiar to me it was like Mason Deaver looked into my brain for inspiration. However at the same time ir was comforting to see a character share the same worries and reactions to things.
The way Ben feels about being nonbinary and about coming out is just like me too, it's scary and I've never seen an enby character express that fear before, that every time you come out it gets easier but it's still terrifying. The opening page nearly made me cry, I know that fear so well.
Hannah and Thomas are incredible, I wish there were more people like them in the world. And Mariam, where would we be without people like Mariam.
I have so much love for this book. Its definitely a new favourite
