Norse mythology + a fierce FMC + a protective bodyguard = yes. 

 

Everything about this book was so fun to read. There was some funny banter and quips. Also, I loved the focus on minor Gods/Goddesses that we don’t normally talk about. I loved adding feminine autonomy in a conventionally patriarchal society while staying true to said society historically. 

Sometimes Freya was hard to love because she is impulsive and acts before thinking and is loyal to a fault. However, I am rooting for her and hope she has character growth in the next book. The ending left me wanting more more and more!
