Black Water Sister by Zen Cho

3.5

I can't give it a full 4-star rating because it lost me a little bit in the middle. It had a strong beginning and a strong ending but my excitement over this book wavered a little bit.

Still, Zen Cho brings to life an intricate world of gods, spirits, mediums, traditions and family drama. I didn't expect to fly through this book as fast as I did. My favorite thing about it was the ending - not that the book ended, but the way it ended.
